New laws!
From 1 July 2026, WHS codes of practice became enforceable compliance benchmarks. So now, not only does training need to be delivered, but organisations need to show proof that employees have understood their compliance obligations.
Compliance training tools tend to fall into two camps: content libraries with a completion certificate at the end, or LMS platforms with a dashboard showing who's ticked what box. Neither gives you defensible proof that a specific person understood a specific obligation. Yarno makes sure your teams understand their obligations, and hand you the proof when someone asks.

How is Yarno different from a completion certificate?
A completion certificate shows someone opened and finished a course. Yarno's Compliance Campaigns use scenario-based quizzes to help learners understand their compliance obligations and to help you see what your learners do and don't know. We can provide detailed reporting on your learners' strongest and weakest topic areas to guide future learning as required to help your teams comply.
Will this hold up if a regulator or auditor asks for records?
Yes. Every learner in a compliance campaign has a per-topic comprehension record you can pull in minutes. Under recent WHS changes in NSW and Victoria, showing people understand their obligations, not just that they did the training, is now a legal requirement.
Who can this be shown to, beyond the regulator?
Every comprehension record is exportable in CSV or Excel, so it's easy to hand to a board pack, an insurer, or a client audit alongside your usual reporting. You get named, dated, per-topic results, demonstrating knowledge retention.
What happens if someone doesn't pass?
They see a clear "not yet compliant" outcome and are invited to try again. Once the learner meets the pass mark you set, they are marked as compliant.
Does compliance status expire?
Yes, on a timeframe you set, for example, annually. Learners are automatically re-invited before their compliance lapses, so you're not manually chasing a spreadsheet to stay audit-ready.

Yes, we can help! Bring your existing policies and procedures, and our team of expert learning designers will turn them into a Yarno-ready compliance campaign.
Who's responsible for the content being legally accurate?
You are responsible for providing Yarno with legally accurate documents, and we’ll turn them into quiz content your teams will engage with. Yarno doesn't provide legal endorsement of the content itself.
Does Yarno use AI to write our compliance content?
Yarno’s AI tool can help draft quiz questions from the policies and procedures you provide, but it's opt-in, and your administrator reviews every AI-drafted question before learners see it. Nothing is published without a human checking it. Yarno AI never trains on your data, and processing stays within Yarno's own Australian AWS environment.

Integration
We already have an LMS. Why do we need this as well?
Compliance campaigns don’t need to be a replacement for your LMS or policy system; they can fill the gap those tools leave. Yarno can show which learners have understood a module, not just completed it, which regulators increasingly ask for.
We already have a compliance training tool. What does this do that ours doesn't?
Most compliance tools, including content libraries and GRC platforms, are built to produce a completion log. Yarno is built to produce a defensible, per-employee comprehension record instead, demonstrating understanding question by question, not just a tick.
Does this replace our policy management system?
No. We sit on top of whatever policy or GRC system you already use, turn its content into our quiz format, and help provide evidence that people understood it.
What platforms does Yarno integrate with?
Yarno is a web-based application, and most Yarno rollouts need no integration at all, just a CSV upload of learner details.
Where you want a deeper connection, Yarno supports:

How is Yarno priced?
Pricing depends on your organisation's size and needs. Get in touch, and we'll talk it through. We don't publish a flat rate because compliance scope varies a lot between organisations.
We need our teams to be compliant as soon as possible. How quickly can we get this live?

We’ve used other compliance tools before that haven’t worked. How is Yarno different?
That's exactly why Yarno’s Compliance Campaigns don't look like a typical compliance tool. Short, regular questions, one clear compliant/not-yet-compliant status per learner, and no leaderboard, since compliance isn't a competition.
Security and data
Can our IT and security team review this before we sign off?
Yes. Send us your security questionnaire or review checklist and we'll work through it directly with your team. We can share our SOC 2 Type 2 report, penetration test summary, and sub-processor list under NDA, and answer follow-up questions from there.
Is Yarno SOC 2 Type 2 compliant?
Yes. Yarno is continuously audited by Sensiba to SOC 2 Type 2 standards and an independent security company performs an annual penetration test of the platform. We also maintain a sub-processor list and can work through a security questionnaire directly with your team. See our Security page for more information.
Where is our data stored?
In Australia. Yarno's core platform runs entirely on AWS infrastructure in the Sydney region, with backups also held within Australia.
