How Yarno works to embed and reinforce knowledge

Yarno is a fun and engaging quiz-based platform. It's bite-sized learning with short 'n' sharp videos that fit into your team's daily job and increase engagement. The learning is done via campaigns that focus on team vs team competition and take just 3 minutes a day to complete!

Let's start with what it looks like to roll out a Yarno campaign, for an admin user.

Platform features

There are three main features included in Yarno that you can choose from to help run your microlearning campaigns successfully.

1. Embed campaigns

Embed business critical information

Embed campaigns are designed to reinforce knowledge and improve learner performance. Embeds typically run for 3 weeks and consist of quick quizzes completed daily – that's roughly 2-3 questions a day, 30 questions in total.

They are used to introduce learners to new information, identify knowledge and compliance gaps, and, most importantly, reinforce previously learned knowledge over time.

2. Burst campaigns

Deliver time-critical training quickly

Bursts deliver questions to learners in one hit.

When ongoing training isn't necessary and time sensitive delivery of information takes priority, bursts step up to give learners targeted one-off learning.

3. Learning library

Store all your training content in one place

Our learning library is a one-stop shop for learners to access training material when they're not participating in a campaign.

Learners can retrieve information when situations call for it, brush up on previous campaigns and expand their learning at leisure.

Content creation

We have a dedicated content team here at Yarno. So whether you have training content written and ready to launch, you want our team to coach you to craft it yourself, or you want us to create it from scratch – whatever your needs, we've got you covered!

  • Questions

  • Relevant questions for every situation and every learner

To create the perfect question, we use your existing knowledge and learning materials, extract the key takeaways, then deliver the need-to-know information to learners.

Yarno’s approach to question writing is threefold – quiz the why, quiz the process and quiz the consequence. It prompts your team to employ active recall, reinforces knowledge and results in learning that lasts beyond training and into practice.

Campaign success

Campaign management or, as we like to call it, customer success is at our core. It's what sets us apart and makes us different, but it’s not about us. Customer success is about you, your business, and your needs. It’s about support, collaboration, and, well – success!

You're more than just a customer.

We're more than just software.

Don’t worry, you’re not in it alone. From start to end, our team will work with you to create more effective, engaging training. Our Customer Success Managers are your advisers, consultants, and answerers of questions.

If you’re looking for help with learning strategies, writing effective questions, video content, or someone to create your training campaigns for you, then our Customer Team is ready to roll.

Plus, we have a pretty comprehensive support page, and our customer success support legend, Kate, is ready to help you out.

Reporting

How do you know if your learning campaign has been successful? Yarno allows managers to see data and insights on their team's campaign performance, including the weakest and strongest topic areas. These reports can help plan future learning campaigns accordingly.

Campaign reporting

Find out what your team does and doesn't know

Yarno's reports help managers understand the knowledge gaps in their teams and identify areas to improve these behaviours in the workplace.

For example, if you were aiming to reduce customer complaints in your call centre, and the weaker topic areas from your most recent campaign were “actively listening” and “delighting the customer” (aka two key areas identified as helping to reduce complaints) – you know that you can now focus future learning or coaching specifically around those two areas.

Sometimes, the solution could be as simple as rolling out another Yarno campaign on these two topics to embed and reinforce the knowledge. Pretty cool, hey?
