Every few months we highlight the newest product features that we're excited about. Here goes!

Admin updates

Customer success knowledge-base

We want to help our customers get the most out of Yarno. So we created a Customer Success section on our knowledge-base to do just that!

Over the next few months, we’ll be covering topics such as creating your first campaign, how to edit questions and learners and how to view results of a campaign.

Our first post, How to create an effective campaign, outlines our approach from our first meeting together, all the way to reviewing results once the campaign has ended.

Question expiry

Our customers regularly edit and refresh their content in Yarno. To make this process even easier, we’ve added the ability to set an expiry date for individual questions.

Once the expiry date is reached, an email is sent to the account owner.

Campaign start date and end dates

We now auto-calculate your campaign start and end dates. The start date is the first date that all learners added to the campaign are available. Meaning they’ve finished any active campaigns they’re currently on.

If you have a specific start date in mind, you can still choose it with the calendar picker.

Learner dashboard updates

Progress bars for performance by topic

The performance by topic chart has had a make over. Previously we used a chart with circles, where each circle represented a topic. However, we heard from customers that the relationship between the circles and the topic wasn’t clear.

So we’ve introduced progress bars, to better visually represent learner performance for each topic in the campaign. We’ve found this format to be more motivating, since you can see at a glance where you are, and where you need to be.

Presenting the data in this way also gave us more control across devices, especially mobile. Win win!

Campaign and badge progress bars

So it’s true, we’ve got a thing for progress bars. We added them to badges to give a better indication of how close you are to earning the next badge.

And we added a campaign progress bar, to more accurately communicate time remaining in a campaign.

Improved peformance over time chart

We added a bit of colour to the weekly data points, and called out the learner’s performance at that point in time.

Infrastructure upgrade

Server-scaled-down

Our CTO, Paul, spent the Christmas holidays tuning (bending) our AWS infrastructure into shape. We now have better performance and redundancy, hopefully resulting in a better user experience for our customers.

Got a question about the Yarno platform? We nerd out over tech talk. Post a comment below, or get in touch here.
